By Wilbard J. Kombe, Alphonce G. Kyessi, and Tatu M. Limbumba. Ardhi University, Dar es Salaam

This Policy Brief and Paper from the KNOW Dar es Salaam Team at Ardhi University to draw attention among policy-makers, practitioners and researchers on the rewarding experiences of co-production and Literature Interpretation Theory (LIT) praxis in the delivery of basic infrastructure services in low-income informal settlements. Ultimately this policy paper aims to facilitate re-thinking the conventional approaches to infrastructure improvement in low income informal settlements and provide a policy framework for leveraging, co-production and labour intensive approaches in the initiatives to co-deliver basic infrastructure services and create the desperately employment opportunities in the country.
